Although she is well known for her love affair with Drum and Bass, she is also a stealthy maestro of mid-tempo sounds with a particular affection for Glitch Hop and Future Soul.
Ever since Big D started spinning in 2001, he's worked hard at specializing in his craft. From the early years rocking house parties, until 2006 when he'd solidified himself as one of Calgary's best, our beloved Big delicious has continually carved himself a place in alberta's scene as one of the most pumped up, funked up dj's you could hope to see playing live. He ain't tryin' to flex this, he be on the guestlist.

What To Expect
I’m an attentive DJ who delivers non-stop energy and sets a great vibe.
House 118-128 bpm
Techno 121-128 bpm
I am well versed in most facets of House but have an affinity for Deep House and Tech House. I also love playing Techno ranging from Detroit to Berlin. As an avid lover of vocals I frequently use samples from acapellas to further deepen the vibe. Playing all these distinct yet similar styles allows me to not only cater to a diverse crowd of individuals, yet bring them together as one.
I entered the club scene in 2008 as a promoter for “Triple T,” a successful night at a local Montreal club called Blizzarts. Within a few years, I was deeply immersed in the MontreaI nightlife and began DJing in 2011. By 2012 I was hired on for my first weekly residency at Blue Dog, an underground gem on St. Laurent. With a move across the country to Calgary in 2014, I decided to expand my techniques and skillset and subsequently took up production in 2015.
Joie De Vie
I believe that music is the global language that brings people together. I do this for the looks on all the dancers’ faces; it may be a smile or a head nod. Whatever it is, you know that they are just in their zone grooving away. In that moment I have successfully washed away all of their cares and all that matters is right now! Any DJ or performer knows exactly what I am talking about! Taking people on a musical journey is both a pleasure and a privilege.
Can't stop, won't stop, don't stop, deeper. A consistent evolution in the meaning of soul, while addicted to bass and riding on pure emotion, Anj Jackson's exhilarating presence behind the decks is a sure fire way to keep you dancing all night long. If this is the house that Jack built, then Jackson has been it's resident since 15 when the influence of Daft Punk struck the deepest of chords. The French legends resonate throughout the edges of her creative range before coming back to the deepest in vibes not unlike Farina, Shaw or Migs. Her conduit to the soul feels direct as it is gripping as she skillfully navigates the nuances of heart and mind, bouncing voluptuously all the while.
From the Great White North in the far Northwestern corner of Canada, she's got the cool vibe and always ready to throw down attitude that comes standard and since discovering the decks you'll be hard pressed to get her off again. Moving more central, Anj found herself immediately involved with local creators and organizers and has since become pervasive in nightclubs and major music festivals across the whole of Western Canada in a under a year. The speed at which she learned to spin with such prowess comes as little a surprise when you consider her addiction as does her skyrocketing career when you hear the exceptional story she weaves through music.
To be taken through the depths of the hood-rich to soulful simplicity along a journey through spirit by a femme fatale such as this is thankfully something we will get the chance to see again soon as she is clearly on her way up.
Around the turn of the century, a young Bomb Hertz appeared on the underground dance music scene in Calgary. The intense connection he felt with the subterranean dance floor set the course and nurtured his deep passion for electronic dance music. The eventual journey into DJing and production felt natural.
A few years later saw Bomb Hertz landing his first DJ residencies at Sal's on 17th and Soda, and playing numerous guest spots around Calgary (highlighted by a trio of rowdy performances at FozzyFest's beach stage and an appearance on CJSW 90.9fm).
His first production releases appeared on Rapid Fire Records, with more tracks & remixes to follow on Canadian labels Atomic Zoo & Breakz R Boss. In the last year, Bomb Hertz has returned to his roots in Calgary, released a pair of slammin' bass house tracks & performed as a semi-finalist in the Dirty Tones DJ competition at Habitat.
Flexing the bass bins since the vinyl era, Bomb Hertz sits comfortably in the space between UK garage, house, and techno - always lighting up the dance floor with tough, bass-heavy selections, and leaving the crowd sweaty, breathless, and wanting more.

Whether you choose to believe it or not, D’Lazy Llama descended upon us mere mortals from high in the Peruvian Andes. There, his tall and fuzzy people taught him the ancient art of partyrocking, and he’s been playing dope records ever since.
Actually, he’s been playing records since your diapers got wet watching Tiny Toons, so let me tell you, the Llama’s seen a couple dance floors come and go. Here’s how real D’Lazy Llama’s DJ chops are: he crushed Barbie Girl on a St. John’s, Newfoundland dance floor on a 12’” vinyl single.
Seriously though, while the Llama’s sounds on the daily in 2016 stray into the deep, bouncy, and techy side of dance, know that when he brings the noise to your local D-floor, he brings a fine pedigree of the broadest spectrum of party music possible. Twenty years spinning wax to Atlantic Canada’s finest drunks and divas meant every pathway to party was revealed to the Llama. AC\DC? Check. Old school techno? Sure! Funky, ass busting house? Most definitely.
D’Lazy Llama knows your secrets. He knows your soul desperately craves those old school anthems. He knows you want them rinsed fresh and round and full. Nothing gets the Llama’s heart pumping like a crew on the floor, feeling the vibe and letting loose. The real magic, that smile and that connection across the dance floor to friends and strangers alike - that’s what the Llama wants you to feel.
Whether it’s lakeside at Fozzy Fest, riding high in the desert at Black Rock City, rolling around in the warm, dewy grass at Freezer Burn or just hangin’ at the club down at Habitat Living Sound, the Llama will see you. And you will hear him. And you will like it.

It's tough to say more about DJ Dan than what is most likely known by just about any dance music fan that has ever taken interest in the genre. Just take a look at what some other legends have said:
“Dan is a pivotal ingredient to live DJing and production, a real teacher to all."-DJ Sneak
"The thing I love about Dan is that he's always had a funky spirit and he always pushes the elements of music."-Carl Cox
To those who still may not know all that much on Dan, we'll help you out from under that rock. As you can tell from just a bit of the praise from musical icons DJ Dan has received, our West Coast bred friend has been around the block a few times (and turning heads all the while). Music has been forever entrenched in Dan's life, having garnered a superior record collection at the age of 8 that would give Amoeba Records a run for its money. Starting his professional musical career with some smaller clubs in Seattle and then Los Angeles, DJ Dan had a rise to recognition in the dance music community that could be considered meteoric. Forming the Funky Techno Tribe in 1993, DJ Dan fused together breakbeat, house, dub, and techno to create a sound that later was fittingly crowned, “West Coast House". And with renowned tracks like “Needle Damage", and remixes for everyone from Depeche Mode to Duck Sauce, Dan's production prowess is undeniable. The journey that Dan's talents have taken him on could go on for pages and pages. He has played alongside the likes of fellow legends from Carl Cox to John Digweed with a mission of making club goers unable to fight the urge to dance the night away.
And it's not just party goers and fellow DJ's who bow down to Dan, the press have drooled over his music. DJ Mag named DJ Dan the #1 House DJ in 2006 while Urb Magazine named him “America's Favorite DJ" and "America's Hardest Working DJ". The media has never been more accurate. But one of the proudest moments could be said when THUMP warned partygoers to 'never fuck with DJ Dan' much like one unfateful attendant did this year in Baltimore to which Dan had the most powerful of responses.
Dan's widely renowned Los Angeles based label Instereo Recordings, has further etched his name into dance music's core. With TJR, Phunk Investigation, Wolfgang Gartner, DJ PP, DJ Sneak, Hatiras, and DJ Dan being amongst the many artists featured on the Instereo Recordings, the label is hard to ignore in the industry. Dan also has releases on Toolroom, Pacha Recordings, Ultra, Guesthouse, Work, XL Recordings, Magnetic, Rising, and many others.

Daniel James first started mixing music back in 91', after being inspired by his first rave in Toronto's old underground party scene. Spending many night's digging for the vibe and feel that rang true to him, he found his home deep routed in Techno! Though he's been known to throw down set's from deep house all the way to progressive psy, he's better known for pushing 4 turntables and the music to the extreme side of Deep to Dirty....Its his deep connection to the driving bass of techno that always allows him to make the dance floor bounce.
Over the years, he has played many clubs and events all over Southern Ontario. Quebec and down to Chicago and New York. Including holding down residencies at clubs like System Soundbar(T.O.) and Tonic(T.O.) and playing festivals such as WEMF, Eclipse, OM, Fozzyfest and Treemendus.
After taking a few years off from the scene and with his recent move to Calgary, AB a few years ago, he has had the pleasure to play events at Habitat Living Sound and for Dirtytones Entertainment
Now he's looking forward to another festival season coming soon!

Inspired by exposure to artists like Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream, Yello and Kraftwerk at a very young age, Elaine became increasingly interested in electronic music and began to experiment with synthesizers and an Amiga.
Her journey into the dance music scene began when she produced and hosted a local TV show about dance clubs in Calgary, taking her into the DJ and club world. She was fascinated by the interaction between the DJ and dance floor so she became the light technician at a local nightclub called The Banke, eventually landing the DJ residency in 1989, playing deep jazzy funky House and Techno.
Her passion for the underground electronic music scene grew, loving the music, artistic atmosphere, peaceful attitude and open minded dancers, so she decided to start throwing events as one half of Honeey n Nutty Ink.
Over the years, Honeey Mustard has regularly appeared at many noted events, clubs and festivals around Canada and abroad, playing deep to hard Techno, Acid Techno, and Drum n Bass sets on vinyl and Ableton Live, with ongoing monthly residencies at Quincy’s and The House in Calgary.
In 2004, Elaine decided to take things to the next level and started learning Ableton Live. She began to create music inspired by her experiences in the electronic music scene, eventually performing live sets exploring Ambient and Techno realms, with a desire to move people physically and mentally. In 2009, with a growing obsession for Drum n Bass, spawned from many epic times dancing and playing at clubs and festivals like Soda, Quincys, and Motion Notion, Elaine has been taken to a whole new level of inspiration and Misselaineous is born. Drum n Bass melded with the Techno soul to create a new hybrid entity.

“In the beginning there was Jack, and Jack had a groove. And from this groove, came the grooves of all grooves. And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldly declared, “Let there be HOUSE!” And House music was born.”

you'll have to pretend it's in the third person...

It has been interesting for me, starting from my bedroom

pushed this hobby of mine to the back burner far too often, it was
